State Director of Music Listing
Church of God in Christ (COGIC), International, and Massachusetts State Diocese’s is a growing organization with multiple diverse churches serving the needs of local pastors and church members. The state diocese known for vibrant, spirit lead worship (Gospel, Contemporary and Praise) Music and life-changing outreach ministries is searching for a dynamic part-time Director of Music. This person will be a vital member of the State Diocese Administrated Board and serve under the direction of the Bishop Lobo (Jurisdictional Bishop for Massachusetts State Dioceses of COGIC International). This person will be instrumental in establishing the State Choir and Worship Team by supervising worship band instrumentalists, vocalists, media and technical positions for our state workshops, conventions, and convocations. This person will also supervise and develop the choirs for local churches in the Massachusetts State Diocese. This person will integrate and develop the State Music Ministry Team, which will meet the needs of congregational and worship needs. This ministry will serve the whole state and, as part of that service, ministers to our volunteers and identifies gifts and talents in all artistic expressions.
Qualifications:
The Ministry of Music is one of the most vital ministries in the local church and viewed as a sacred office. This person called to ministry as vocalist with the ability to lead worship from organ, keyboard, or both, able to articulate the gospel with enthusiasm creating an exciting and welcoming worship atmosphere. This person must sense a divine appointment to ministry or service, love the Lord, and desire to build a ministry that is pleasing to God. The person must also be able to articulate a vision (a supernatural revelation that conveys the plan and purpose of God) for the state music ministry.
Salary:
The Massachusetts State Diocese of Church of God in Christ (COGIC), International is in the developmental stage and not able to provide a salary. Therefore, we are seeking someone of faith, that believes that were God sends He will provide. “For we walk by faith, not by sight” 2 Cor.5:7) and someone that is not serving for the money,” not greedy of filthy lucre” (1 Tim.3:3) However, it is especially the duty of a minister of the gospel to be free from it. He/she has a right to a support, 1Cor.9:1; and following, but there is nothing that more certainly paralyzes the usefulness of a minister of the gospel or servant of the Lord than the love of money.
